You will need low rolling resistance so that you can keep fuel costs and wear of the tires at a low level. Tires with good wear resistance, will provide you with longer service hours and less tire related problems. You want to avoid delays caused by tire related problems. These problems can be quite costly as the can require emergency repairs by the road, accidents and costly delays with penalties.
So be prepared and apply proper tire maintenance and equip the rig with proper tires for the season and weather conditions that you plan to face while doing the deliveries. Tire maintenance should be done often enough to avoid unscheduled problems. During the inspection the tire pressure should be check and tires should filled to the recommended tire pressure. The tread depth should be checked to ensure that they are in the recommended depth level. Any possible damages to the tires should be checked and evaluated to see if you can still operate safely with those tires or if they need to be repaired or replaced. With these things working on a satisfactory level, your transport business should have all the things in place to become profitable.
